Jakub Merdała MA: Graduate in Spanish Philology at the Jagiellonian University, PHD student at the Doctoral School of Humanities at the Jagiellonian University in the discipline of Literary Studies. Iberist and medievalist. He is engaged in research on the lyric poetry of the Galician-Portuguese and Occitan troubadours and the translation of medieval troubadour poetry. Currently, he is working on a doctoral project entitled ‘Acabamento da razon’ - a formal, philological, ecdotical and historical study of tornadas, envoi and findas in the lyrics of medieval troubadours and trouvères [Spanish. ‘Acabamento da razon: estudio formal, filológico, ecdótico e histórico de la tornada, el envoi y la finda en la lírica trovadoresca y trovérica medieval].
