Profesor w Katedrze Historii Literatury Staropolskiej. Polonistka i neolatynistka. Badaczka nowożytnej poezji łacińskiej i polskiej w kontekście tradycji starożytności klasycznej oraz romańskiego średniowiecza. W ramach tych studiów prowadzi badania nad gatunkami literackimi, historią idei oraz topiki, a także antropologią kultury.
Wykładała na uniwersytetach w Padwie, Mediolanie, Udine (Włochy), Kolonii (Niemcy), Jyväskylä (Finlandia).
